Who we are
CrowdSpark is a trading name of {{COMPANY_LEGAL_NAME}}, a company registered in the United Kingdom (company number {{COMPANY_NUMBER}}), registered office {{REGISTERED_ADDRESS}}. In this policy, "CrowdSpark", "we" and "us" mean that company.
For anything about your data, email {{CONTACT_EMAIL}}. We answer privacy requests within one month.
The two roles we play
For our own business, such as this website, booking calls with us, and running our client relationships, we decide how and why personal data is used. We are the controller of that data.
For client campaigns, we call businesses on behalf of our clients. The client decides who should be called and why, and we act on their instructions. For that data we are a processor working for the client, and the client is the controller. If one of our callers contacted you for a client and you want to know more, you can still write to us. We will stop calling you straight away and pass your request to the client.
What we collect
When you visit this website
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Our host, Cloudflare, processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request so it can deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Our fonts and images are served from our own domain, so your browser does not contact Google or other font services.
When you play a caller sample, the audio is streamed through our own site, so your browser does not connect to Google Drive. If you open our call samples folder, you leave our site and Google's privacy policy applies.
When you book a call with us
Bookings are handled by Moxie. We receive the details you enter, such as your name, email address, company, and anything you write in the booking form.
When you are a client or talking to us about becoming one
Names, job titles, business contact details, company details, notes from our calls, the brief for your campaign, contracts, invoices and payment records, and our emails and messages with you.
When we call you for one of our clients
Business contact details (name, job title, company, business phone number, business email and location), where the details came from, call records (time, duration and outcome), call recordings, notes from the conversation, and any request not to be called again.
This policy does not cover our own team and callers. They receive a separate notice.
Where the data comes from
Most of it comes from you. For client campaigns, business contact details come from the client, from commercial business data providers such as Apollo, or from public business directories and maps, which we may collect with tools such as Apify. We record the source of every list we use.
Why we use it and our legal basis
Under UK and EU data protection law we need a legal basis for each use.
- Running and securing this website: our legitimate interest in a working, safe website.
- Answering enquiries and booking calls: taking steps at your request before a contract, or our legitimate interest in replying to you.
- Delivering our services and billing: performing our contract with you, and our legal duty to keep accounting records.
- Calling businesses for our clients: the client's legitimate interest in contacting businesses about relevant products or services. Where the law of the country being called requires consent, the client must have it before we call. See our Compliance Safeguards.
- Recording calls: legitimate interests in quality checks, training, resolving disputes and showing that calls were made lawfully. Callers say at the start of each call that it is being recorded.
- Our own sales outreach to businesses: our legitimate interest in finding new clients. You can object at any time and we will stop.
- Sample calls on this website: the recordings we publish as samples are role-play calls, or real calls we publish only with the permission of everyone on the call. We take a recording down on request.
International transfers
Our callers work from Egypt and some of our providers store data in the United States or the European Union. When personal data leaves the UK or the EEA, we protect it with an adequacy decision where one exists, or with approved contract terms such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, together with the security measures described below.
How long we keep it
- Website logs: kept by Cloudflare for a short period under its own policy.
- Enquiries that do not become clients: up to 2 years after our last contact.
- Client records, contracts and invoices: for the relationship and 6 years after it ends, as UK law requires for accounting and legal claims.
- Campaign contact lists and notes: for the campaign, then returned to the client or deleted within 90 days of it ending, unless the client tells us otherwise.
- Call recordings: for the campaign and up to 12 months after it ends, unless the client asks us to delete them sooner.
- Do-not-call requests: as long as needed to make sure we never call you again. We keep only what we need for that, usually your name, number and the date.
How we protect it
Access is limited to the people who need it for a specific campaign. Everyone uses their own account, with two-factor sign-in where the tool supports it. Each client's data sits in its own workspace. Client call recordings stay inside our calling platform and are not downloaded to personal devices. When someone leaves the team, their access is removed the same day.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or send it to you or someone else in a portable format. You can object to how we use it at any time, and if you object to sales calls or emails we will stop.
To use any of these rights, email {{CONTACT_EMAIL}}. We may need to confirm who you are first. If we are handling your data for a client, we will pass your request to them and help them answer it.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to the data protection authority where you live. We would appreciate the chance to fix it first.
Stop us calling you
Tell the caller, or email {{CONTACT_EMAIL}} with the phone number. We add it to our do-not-call list within one business day, and that stops calls to you from our own outreach and from the client's campaign.
Children
Our website and services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect data about anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change matters for clients, we will tell them directly.
